A Quick Update.  I previously announced that the Dokissaten Cafe event at the Rockwell would be a whole day event.  I would just like to correct myself that it will be from 12 PM to 6 PM on Saturday, November 14 at the Sango! the Burger Master at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall.  Thanks to magnetic-rose.net for the heads up.

A bunch of us will be there to enjoy an afternoon with the lovely ladies and handsome gentlemen of the cafe.  Hope to see you there too!

Consumer Electronics Live! (CEL!) Manila 2009 is touted as the first and only world-class consumer electronics exhibit in the country.  Organized by SUMMIT LIVE! the event is on its second year and will run from November 13 to 15 and will feature different electonic devices and gadgets from around the world.  This year's showcase is going to be at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Similar to the Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) in the United States, the event will include different gadgets from mobile phones to laptops to digital cameras to flat screen TV sets.  The exhibit will include the latest gadgets that any tech-savvy geek will enjoy.  It will also feature gaming consoles, and various home electronic appliances.

Aside from the electronics exhibit, CEL! Manila 2009 will also have various mini-events that include raffles, gadget demos, blogging events and a cosplay competion.

A Cosplay Contest is brought to you by Cosplay.ph in partership with CEL! Manila and SUMMIT LIVE!  The competition has the theme Techno Anime and will be held during the event on November 14 between 4 PM and 6 PM.  The Cosplay Contest will be an open category event, which means you can cosplay anything from anime, manga, games, western comics and other fandoms.  Details and guidelines for the contest are available at Cosplay.ph.

Level Up! Games now brings us this year's biggest and hottest gaming event of the year with LEVEL UP! LIVE 2009.  With the tagline "United We Play", this promises to be an event every gamer and even non-gamers will surely enjoy.  The event will be held at the World Trade center, along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City this weekend November 7 and 8.

To enter all you need to do is bring an unused P50.00 top up card.  This will serve as your ticket to the event.  For those who are unable to purchase cards, they will also be selling the top up cards like in previous events.  There will be an Early Bird Promo for the first 500 registrants at the event as well.  They will receive cool freebies so I suggest you bring your own card and come at the crack of dawn. XD

QUICK UPDATE.  University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts (UP AME) will have presale tickets available this weekend for AME no Jidai.  The tickets will be available at PhP90.00.  You will be able to get your tickets from Level Up! Live and Anime Overload Festival this coming November 7-8.  UP AME will have booths at both events.  I encourage everyone to buy those tickets to avoid the hassle of lining up on the day of AME no Jidai.

Level Up! Live will be held on November 7 and 8 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Anime Overload Festival will be a one day event on November 8 at the SMX Convention Center.

Animax Asia proudly presents the premier of Animax Musix: Link to the World on November 4.  This is a 1 hour anime music event featuring some of the top artists singing our favorite theme songs from different popular animes. 

Artist for the event include Yuuka Nanri, Shuhei Kita, May’n and Anna.  May'n as you may know is also the singing voice for Sheryl Nome of Macross Frontier.  In this 1 hour special they will be singing hits from Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Macross Frontier and many others.

Animax Musix: Link to the World will air on November 4 at 8 PM in the Philippines and the rest of South East Asia with replays on November 05 at 12 midnight, 8:30 AM and 12 noon.

I am looking forward to view this show as I am curious as to which songs they will be singing and how they'll interpret the songs.  I would be happy to hear if Slam Dunk is included but that's just me dreaming.  :D
